I am 52 years old now, and I am taller than before.

When I was about seven years old, I was taller than most of the girls my age. This had me thinking that I was abnormal and so I became very shy and embarrassed about my height. Therefore, I started to walk with my head facing down and my back hunching down as close to the ground as I could. Months went by, my back can no longer be straight. My parents tried to help me by bringing me to all kinds of exercising and sports classes such as swimming, tennis, table tennis, competition running, which I got the city and university championship! However, they were no use in helping my back becoming straight because every time I finished the exercise, I would relax my body and it would fall back its “comfort” state, which had been overtaken by my bad habit of hunching. Soon, I became a hunchback and I was depressed.

Fortunately, in 1995 I joined Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy in Taiwan. Through practicing qiqong, though I had children, my postpartum depression was vanished. Moreover, by doing daily breathing and qigong practices not only warmed up my body muscles so I could be more relaxed in the right posture, but it also gradually trained my body to not hunch as serious as before.  Now I’m 52 and I’m healthier and taller than ever in my life.

Thanks to my Shifu and all the brothers and sisters in Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy.
